The modern history of cava began in 1872 in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, when the first bottles were produced following the traditional method. Since then, cava has become a natural part of many of our celebrations: the Christmas festivities, the eve of Sant Joan, weddings, birthdays and those gatherings that, without the need for a special date, also deserve a toast.
At the Riba Pitxot apartments we want your arrival in Cadaqués to be exactly that: the beginning of a few special days. For this reason, we welcome our guests with two small gifts that speak of this land, of its history and of the pleasure of enjoying life without rushing.

A product made with care, creativity and quality ingredients, inviting you to savour the moment from the very first day.
On the other hand, a bottle of Rexach Baqués Brut Imperial cava, from a family winery in the Penedès with more than a century of history. As the winery itself explains, its Brut Imperial Reserva was the cava chosen by Salvador Dalí on the day of his wedding to Gala. A link that turns this gift into a small nod to the artist’s history and to his close relationship with Cadaqués.
This bottle is, therefore, much more than a welcome detail. It is a way of receiving our guests in keeping with the Catalan tradition of celebrating and toasting and, at the same time, of recalling the connection between Cadaqués and Dalí, Gala and a way of living in which art, landscape and small pleasures are all part of the same experience.
